Terry Tami

Tami and Terry Stingley bring a wealth of experience and compassion to their practice. They spent six months in Tamil Nadu, India receiving private instruction in Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and Advanced Ayurvedic Therapy (A 650 hour course)from Dr. Sundar, M.D. Their certification is an international, ISO 9001. They have also studied the wisdom of many great teachers and distilled many styles of Yoga. Classical Hatha, Bikram, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, Kriya Yoga, and Yoga Therapy. Their melting pot approach is focused through the wisdom of the 8 limbs, and the Sutras of Patanjali.

The Stingleys are ordained non-denominational ministers; see Wedding page), and are trained in the healing arts. They have published numerous articles pertaining to spirituality, health, yoga, and the environment.

Tami is Thailand-trained and certified in Thai Yoga massage by one of the world's greatest living masters, Boonthamme Pichet in northern Thailand. She offers a wide range of massage modalities (see Massage page), and is a licensed esthetician. She has recieved intensive training in holistic centers like Kripalu Center, the Omega Institute and Lillydale, New York, where she recieved certification in their Master Healing course. Her yoga therapy certification is through IYT with Joseph LePage. She also holds certification as a personal trainer, pilates instructor, reflexology and specialized training in dance & sports medicine. Tami specializes in in working with brain & spinal cord injuries through massage and yoga therapy. Tami's hometown is near Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie. She has a grown son that lives in Columbus.

When Terry was a boy he wanted to grow up to be Johnny Quest. He has traveled the globe to study different religions, mystic spirituality and meditation practices including Zen Buddhism, Native American cosmology and healing arts. His solitary journeys into the canyons and deserts of Utah have brought him into intimate contact with a beautiful world in decline. Terry feels fortunate to have studied healing and survival with traditional Hopi Indians while living in northern Arizona. He has been on the front lines of the environmental movement for more than 20 years. Terry's essays and poetry have been published around the world. Terry enjoys being on the WKZO radio as "The Wine Guru", sharing his 30 years of wine knowledge and passion. He also works as a wine buyer, hosts wine tours and offers fun, yet educational private tastings for parties and cellar consultations. He is passionate about his hometown, New Orleans.

Together they enjoy travel, cooking for each other and their friends, exploring vineyards & farmer's markets, skiing, hiking, scuba diving, canoeing, camp fires, and breakfast in bed on rainy Sunday mornings.
